Medical Assistant Role and Responsibilities

Assists providers in the administration of patient care in assigned clinical areas. Assists with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatment, and dressing changes. Performs general administrative duties in accordance with JCAHO, CLIA, NCQA and government standards, as well as company policies and procedures.

Class Breakdown

• In-Person Classroom Hours: 40 hours weekly for 10 weeks

• Practicum Hours: 40 hours weekly for 4 weeks

• 14 weeks total

• During this time, you are a full time employee, earning benefits and PTO

Qualifications

• Have your high school diploma or GED

• Have a working knowledge of English

• If current employee, must be an employee in good performance standing

• Have a reference from your supervisor or manager

• Been employed by EHS a minimum of 6 months or more

• Complete Work Ready NH Curriculum

• Attend at least 80% of all seminars, courses and labs to complete your academic program

• Attend regular meetings (monthly or more) with academic or career coach

• Be willing to accept an employment opportunity after program completion which may be a different schedule than your current one
