Elliot VNA – Licensed Nursing Assistant
Who We Are:
The VNA PERSONAL SERVICES team provides personal care services in the client’s home, which are designed to meet the individual’s needs. Goals are centered around providing individualized supportive care to allow the client to remain safe and comfortable at home. Services provided are those not usually covered by insurance, and most are in “block-time”, meaning care is provided for several hours per day as requested by the client
About the Job:
The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) will provide nurse-delegated personal care, homemaking, and administrative duties as assigned for clients in the community. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LNA provides care that includes, but is not limited to, personal care to support activities of daily living, medication reminders/observations, meal preparation, homemaking, errands, and other client activities, and/or administrative tasks as assigned.
What You’ll Do:
- Follow and adhere to the client plan of care as directed by the RN.
- Report any client concern or change in condition to the family and the RN Supervisor.
- Assists with promoting client independence by reinforcing teaching provided by the RN.
- Integrates problem-solving methodology and quality improvement in approaching problem areas related to patient care and organizational processes.
- Takes appropriate action in the event of an emergency.
- Completes documentation in clinical records, time sheets and other areas as requested.
- Attends a minimum of 12 hours of in-services per year.
- Provides care while promoting resident dignity and provides a calm, supportive and therapeutic environment for residents and their families.
Who You Are:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a related field desired.
Certification/Licensure: Current Nursing Assistant License in the State of New Hampshire required.
