About the Job:

Acts as a representative in all areas of clerical support in Breast Imaging. Assumes responsibility for scheduling interventional Breast imaging procedures. Manages patient follow up letters for patients who have mammograms per MQSA standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Schedules and completes intake sheets
  • Prepares follow up letters for patients who have mammograms per MQSA standards
  • Documents letters that have gone out and those that are returned to the department
  • Answers incoming telephone calls from patients, central booking, doctor's offices, hospital staff, screens them and responds courteously and/or refers individual to the appropriate person
  • Completes all order entry functions utilizing a wide variety of CRT and PC applications to include revisions of requisitions, to obtain physician/patients history information, locate film jackets and the reading of patient reports

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Required
  • 2-3 years of experience in a health care setting performing similar work, Required
  • Medical Terminology, Preferred
