About the Job:
The practice of vascular-interventional radiography is performed by health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. A vascularinterventional technologist performs radiographic and other procedures at the request of a licensed practitioner. Vascular-interventional radiography integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and care resulting in diagnostic information. A vascular-interventional technologist recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure and exercises independent professional and ethical judgment. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission, Philosophy and Code of Conduct of Elliot Health System.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform vascular-interventional procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Vascular Interventional Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics.”
- Understand and adhere to departmental exam protocols
- Actively participate in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model
- Complete annual mandatory education requirements on time
- Prepare, administer, and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy
- Serve as primary liaison between patients, licensed practitioners, and other members of the support team
- Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills
- Utilize independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.
Who You Are:
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiological Technologist program, Required
- 5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, Required
- Experience with biopsy procedures specifically stereotactic and ultrasound is strongly preferred
- Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
- Certified by ARRT in Radiology, Required
- Ability to obtain BLS during employment

$15,000 sign on bonus eligible
Work Schedule: 8am-6pm 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday
