Who We Are:
Elliot Health System’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provide individual and group-based treatment of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. PHP and IOP are for individuals who need care that is more intensive than individual outpatient programs but not as intensive as residential treatment. Depending on their role, staff can provide case coordination, assist participants in accessing community-based services, provide medication management, evaluate participants for medical issues, and more. The teams coordinate closely with primary care providers on a biweekly basis to ensure that all aspects of patients’ wellbeing and health are addressed appropriately.
About the Job:
Function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a consumer advocate, providing consumer information and peer support. Provides a wide range of tasks to assist peers in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborates and participates with the multidisciplinary team in the ongoing clinical assessment of patient's care and status
- Assists clients in setting up and sustaining self-help groups, as well as means of locating joining existing groups
- Assists clients in developing empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy. This is accomplished through regular meetings, individual and group sessions. Through the use of role playing/modeling techniques, the CRSW provides opportunities for others to demonstrate how they have handled similar problems, or how to handle problems that may arise in interactions with others

Who You Are:
- Must be CRSW (Certified Recovery Support Worker) or willing to work toward certification within 12 months of employment start date., Required
- 1-3 years of experience working in substance abuse recovery field, Required
