About the Job:

Schedules and prepares conference and meeting room spaces at the Elliot Hospital. Sets up and configures tables, other furniture, and equipment according to daily schedules. Coordinates, schedules and maintains audiovisual equipment and teleconferencing equipment. Delivers or supervises delivery and set-up of food and related materials to designated locations, as well as assists in the preparation of all Event Planning activities to include set up, clean up and food preparation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinates and negotiates with senior management, Administrative Assistants, departments, and outside customers to schedule and book conference and meeting room space at the hospital.
  • Utilizes an automated system to prepare and distribute daily and weekly schedules for meeting and conference rooms.
  • Sets up furniture and moves walls to reconfigure conference rooms for meetings at the hospital as requested.
  • Assists in coordinating all promotional activities in the Food and Nutrition Department.
  • Assists in coordinating all special menus, special events, and menu tests in the Elliot Café.
  • Maintains all bulletin boards and communication signage in the Elliot Café.
  • Informs Food and Nutrition Director or Food Service Manager of any special events and presents detailed work plan.
  • Establishes and maintains good communication and positive working relationships within the department, with other employees, and the public.
  • Provides support to LCD and laptop utilization at the location of presentations. Operates the hospital’s teleconferencing and video conferencing service. Trains hospital staff in the operation of multimedia, teleconferencing and LCD equipment.
  • Schedules and coordinates requests for audiovisual, multimedia, teleconferencing, and LCD equipment. Ensures equipment is in working order, completes set up preparation as necessary, and ensures equipment is returned to storage upon completion of presentation.
  • Performs simple repairs, routine cleaning, and general maintenance of audiovisual, multimedia, and teleconferencing equipment. Arranges for repair and maintenance of equipment with outside vendors when required. Maintains records and statistical data relating to the purchase, use, and repair of equipment.
  • Responsible for meeting Manchester Board of Health, State and JCAHO standards.
  • Verifies room setup with the Event Planning Supervisor. Refers unusual or complex scheduling issues to the supervisor.
  • Assists in preparation of all Event Planning activities to include set up, clean up and food preparation.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.

Required Knowledge and Skill:

  • Ability to transport self to and from off-site EHS locations.
  • Ability to present catered events in an artistic, attractive, contemporary manner, working with the Event Planning Supervisor and culinary staff to acquire and maintain such skills and knowledge.

Who You Are:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of food set-up and presentation, audio/visual equipment and customer service experience preferred
