Elliot Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy
The inpatient pharmacy department is comprised of pharmacists and technicians working collaboratively to provide safe, timely and effective medication therapy to our patients. We operate a decentralized model for both medication distribution utilizing Omnicell automation, as well as clinically with pharmacists dedicated to the teams on our nursing units. About the Job
The Pharmacy Technician II Certified – Offsite Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely medication resupply and regulatory compliance of medication storage at offsite locations including Elliot Urgent Care’s, One Day Surgical Center and River’s Edge physician practices.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for restocking medications into automated dispensing cabinets per specified par levels at the offsite locations.
Receive wholesaler delivery order, including controlled medications, into automated dispensing cabinets for Elliot One Day Surgical Center.
Deliver medications from main hospital to medical practices, urgent care centers and other patient care locations in the greater Manchester area, including Bedford and Londonderry.
Perform monthly regulatory unit inspections for River’s Edge and all urgent care locations.
Coordinate with purchasing and technician leadership regarding par amounts and product rotation based on usage and expiration.
Provide automation basic education and troubleshooting for offsite locations, escalating to Technician III –Automation Lead as appropriate.
Performs duties of hospital Technician I and/or II as necessary or when offsite tasks are complete. This includes preparation of IV sterile compounds per regulatory guidelines at off sites as applicable.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or equivalent. Nationally and NH Certified Pharmacy Technician required at time of hire. Experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred. Experience utilizing automated dispensing cabinets, including optimization reporting and troubleshooting.
Valid driver’s license required and must be maintained throughout duration of appointment in position. Motor vehicle background report will be conducted. Must maintain automobile insurance coverage at established minimum throughout duration of employment required.
