About the Job:
A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner and assists with interventional procedures. The CT Technologist performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission, Philosophy and Code of Conduct of Elliot Health System.
What You’ll Do:
- Practices within the scope of practice of the computed tomography technologist as outlined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT)
- Performs venipuncture
- Prepares and positions patient for CT procedures according to the CT procedure manual.
- Provides radiation protection to patient, staff, and self-according to prescribed safety standards
- Records patient history, unusual conditions/limitations, and other information such as; exam time, room number, and technique
Who You Are:
- Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
- A minimum of two (2) years of CT experience, of which included a minimum of one year in either X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy, Required
- Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification Required
- ARRT (CT) certification, Required
- ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
Work Schedule: Part Time, Mon-Fri 5p-10:30p
